The
Annual Accounts signed by the external auditor appointed by
the Audit Commission are available for inspection at the Council
Offices.
Shildon Town Council with an annual budget in
excess of £500,000 is required to prepare an annual statement
of accounts which complies with Section 7 of The Accounts and
Audit Regulations 2003. These accounts are subject to external
audit and for the Town Council the audit is undertaken by the
Audit Commission
