May 19th was a significant date for former Town Mayor, Cllr Peter Quinn, as he proudly embarked on his final Civic Duties together with Cllr Shirley Quinn presenting cheques to local organisations with money raised by fund raising during his term of Office.
The presentations took place at the Shildon Civic Hall and the invited guests came from a range of valued local groups and organisations, all focusing on providing a range of services, activities, and support to our residents.
As well as the funds given yesterday, the Town Mayor was also responsible for funding the Public Accessible Defibrillator located at Shildon Town Council Offices, a fantastic asset for the town.
A huge thank you to the former Town Mayor, Councillor Peter Quinn and his wife Councillor Shirley Quinn for all they have accomplished.
