Shildon Town Council again hosted the very special Sensitive Santa Session, for families of children with additional needs, who may need a little more time and space to enjoy a visit to Santa.
The session was supported with a loan of specialist equipment from the Spennymoor Learning Library. The equipment is there to put the children at ease and enables the children to relax during their visit. From the fantastic bubble tubes, to vibrating cushions, but the best of all were the indoor snowballs which were a great icebreaker and got all the children involved.
A quote received from one parent “Loved it, they were so good with my son, they loved throwing the pretend snowballs and all the sensory things they had. We can’t wait for next year!”
Santa hopes all the families and children who visited us, enjoyed it as much as we did. Santa had a wonderful time meeting you all, and he is already looking forward to next year when he can do it all over again.
Until then Ho Ho Ho and Merry Christmas everyone.
If you attended, we would love to hear what your thought?
