Shildon Town Council secured funding under Durham County Councils ‘Town and Villages’ fund, through the Bishop Auckland and Shildon Area Action Partnership to resurface several busy sections of footpaths in Hackworth Park, to ensure they remain safe and accessible for all park users. Thank you to Councillors Shirley Quinn, Samantha Townsend, and Matt Johnson for supporting this project.
The newly resurfaced footpaths are now fully operational and will provide years of durable service to both walking and wheeled park users.
