Autumn Fun and Food Project
Shildon Civic Hall has been filled with the sounds of fun and laughter this morning, as Children and parents got warmed up with the coaching staff from AJ Sports.
The session started with a range of football skills, followed by a selection of team games, to get everyone involved and warmed up.
The time just flew, then it was lunchtime. Everyone took time to recharge over a lovely well balanced healthy lunch again, supplied by Shildon Alive. After lunch the staff slowed things down a little, to let everyone digest, but the pace quickened, and everyone was up for a competitive game of Zombie Dodgeball – to the delight of the children, whatever energy they all had left they ran off playing this and confirmed with a rousing cheers that they had enjoyed it lots.
Until we can all do this again, I thank you all for getting involved with the HAHF-Autumn Fun and Food Project and attending with your families.
Autumn Fun and Food Project
Shildon Town Council and Shildon Civic Hall, welcomes families to the Autumn Fun and Food project.
The first session taking place is Arts and Crafts, delivered by tutor Dawn Belshaw. The session will focus on utilising recycled materials that can be found in the home during the session with a message to be mindful about how we think about our waste, and explore ways in which we can extend usefulness, including using for them to support these creative families sessions.
We all went batty at first and created our CD bats ready for Halloween, very spooky.
This session has a healthy lunch included which has been provided by Shildon Alive and includes hot tomato soup, choice off sandwich, crisps, biscuit and a fresh piece of fruit, to keep everyone energised until the end of this very enjoyable session.
Thank you all for attending todays session.
