The Shildon Youth Initiative (SYI) is a new and exciting project aimed at Shildon’s Young People aged 10 plus. The Shildon Youth Initiative project will meet weekly on Tuesday’s from 6.00pm at the Foundations building on Church Street, Shildon.
The Foundations building is well equipped to host youth sessions, with open plan lounge area with pool table, TV and comfortable seating area.
There is also a kitchen space to make refreshments to compliment sessions and we will have access to outside space in the form of a small rear enclosed garden area with seating and outdoor Pizza Oven, so watch out for up and coming sessions on how easy it is to make your own pizzas.
We will be launching the Shildon Youth Initiative (SYI) on Saturday 2nd July at Foundations, with an open door meet and greet session, where you can meet the team, have a look around the space and sign onto the project.
SCYPAN hopes the Shildon Youth Initiative (SYI) once formed and bedded in, will provide the young people of Shildon with the ability to shape the project to better meet their needs, and we hope in time that this becomes a fully young person led project, where young people feel included, valued and respected.
